2007 Group: Jack and Jill Nursary

For 2007, we decided to support some of the younger members of our local community. Jack and Jill nursery is situated on the Baxter College campus in Blakebrook, Kidderminster and offers nursery care for children aged between three and five years.

We were very happy to be able to supply them with two new computer systems, including special mice, designed especially for young children to use.

Research and personal experience leads us to believe that, when used correctly, computers can be an asset to children: they can assist with developing hand-eye coordination; carefully designed software packages allow youngsters to explore freely and learn at their own pace; sharing the computer with others also reinforces the importance of sharing, taking turns and working as a group and can aid the development of social skills.
